Beginner West Coast Swing classes are a fun way to get involved in the swing dancing community where all skill levels are welcome. We provide an enjoyable, social and supportive environment for all ages and dance experience levels to learn this dance style while you have fun!

No partner required!

Join our beginner West Coast Swing dance classes and every Wednesday night in the city and you’ll learn new moves, get to know the people in your class and have a great time. You can even come solo as no partner is necessary – we teach the same steps and rotate partners to everyone so nobody will be left out.

How do I enrol?

Come along to our classes at 7:40pm on Wednesday nights. Our studio is at The Queensland Russian Community Centre, 19 Lotus Street Woolloongabba. You can purchase your 4 or 8 week enrolment here or when you arrive on the night. Please arrive 15 minutes early if you do wish to enrol in person.

If you are brand new to our school we offer an amazing discount on your first 4 week block with us! You can enrol for your first 4 week block for only $40!

Please note that this is an 4 week course no missed classes will be refunded for absence.

Skills are built week on week so it is recommended you attend the full block of classes to get the most value out of the 8 week course.

What you'll need

It is really easy to get started! Don’t feel intimidated as you don’t need to have professional shoes or clothing to start – just whatever you feel comfortable moving in.

What to wear

Activewear, jeans and T-shirt or go all out and dress up! We recommend shoes that do not have too much grip so you are able to spin with ease. West Coast Swing is not normally danced in high heels so any flat shoes or sneakers are fine for beginners.

Extras

Please bring your own water bottle and hand sanitiser.
